Rising gas prices and global warming has awakened the world’s needs to alternative methods of getting around and living. If you’ve had the chance to visit a recent car expo you’ll notice a quite a few vendors are advertising and displaying clean air vehicles or electric vehicles (EV for short). There is a new demand for electric vehicles because they are becoming more efficient than they once were and because of rising gas prices. Electric vehicles were once thought of for only local commutes because the battery charges wouldn’t last longer than 30-40 miles, but now we see EVs going as far as 100 miles on a single charge.
Electric vehicles are not only good for financial reasons but they have zero emissions. Regular gas powered cars emit toxins into the air and are harmful to the environment. Electric cars only require electricity to run and thus do not emit anything into the environment. They also improve our noise pollution because electric cars are practically silent.
Homeowner’s who have invested in a solar home system and own an EV are benefiting even more. There will be no more gas bills, you simply plug in at home and use the electricity from your solar home system to charge your EV and house. Solar energy helps decrease our need for alternative energy that is bad for our environment. Pairing solar with an EV will make an impact on the environment that everyone will appreciate. For those who have not converted to a solar home system the government is offering rebates that make converting very tempting.
Electric vehicles will no longer be hard to find as major car companies will be producing electric vehicles. With greener technology in demand we can only expect a brighter future.

nice article! can’t wait for the Chevy Volt to arrive. it will go perfect with my new solar roof panels.
Very nice article! I really do think Electric Vehicles will be coming back in a big way. When are you two going to come out and install those panels for me in my new Oregon house? Hopefully soon. I can already see those electric bills sky rocketing!
Sent this to my mom on face book… she’s got 3 cars she should just trade ‘em in for one of these!
I hope the government and car dealerships can really commit to producing electric cars and not get intimidated by the Oil Industry! NICE ARTICLE!
I am all for making this world a more clean place to live. I can’t wait to have one of these EVs of my own! 100 miles on a single charge is a dream. Less noise and less toxins, I can’t think of anythig much better. I learned alot and enjoyed the article. Thanks.
Anything that will make the world a better place is worth looking into. Thank you for posting such a great article. Hope everyone finds it as useful as I do.
Informative article! I don’t think people realize that besides the obvious environmental reasons electric vehicles (and going green in general) is a good financial investment.
I’m all for it!!! I would just need to research more real world applications (Really big city congested driving) before I plunk down cash on one. Then again, I’m still waiting on my hoverboard!!!
